Dissociation

Description

An internal disconnect regarding one’s thoughts, feelings, memories, history, body, or actions or between one and one’s surroundings that manifests as a sense of unreality or as slowed, fuzzy, nonsensical, or disjointed thoughts, emotions, or actions. The major characteristic of all dissociative phenomena involves a detachment from reality. Dissociation has many forms, including derealization, depersonalization, daydreaming, passing control of the body to another system member, etc.
