Wood Block

An introject who doesn’t or feels they don’t match their source very closely. Wood block printing is the earliest known method of printing and involves carving a negative of the desired images and/or text into wood and using an roller to apply ink to the block. Later printing methods such as intaglio would allow for more detailed prints. A famous example of a wood block print is The Great Wave off Kanagawa, by Katsushika Hokusai, circa 1831.
